Delete your account
You can permanently delete your SOBERX account and all of the data attached to it. There are two ways to do this.
1. In the app (fastest)
Open SOBERX → My Story tab → Settings & Account → Delete my account.
You'll be asked to type DELETE to confirm. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
2. By email (if you can't access the app)
If you've lost access to the app or can't sign in, email us from the address your account is registered to:

We verify that the request comes from the registered email address, then delete the account. We complete these within 30 days, and usually much sooner.

Everything tied to your account is permanently removed:
- Your account and login (email address)
- Your sobriety date, streaks and milestones
- Mood check-ins and mood history
- Journal entries and nightly inventories
- Before & after photos
- Community posts, messages and reactions
- Your HAL conversation usage records
- Profile details and avatar
What we may keep
We do not retain your personal recovery data after deletion. We may keep a minimal record of the deletion request itself, and any information we are legally required to retain (for example, transaction records where a payment was made). Anything retained for legal reasons is deleted once that obligation ends.
